Hold your mind within your body,
Maintain that oneness; do not wander from it.
Stay mindful of the breath,
Until it is as placid as an infant’s.
Cleanse the inner mirror
Until no flaw remains.

Caring for the people,
Can you lead them without guile?
Opening and shutting heaven’s gate
Can you be the female?
Enlightened and aware,
Can you discern the four directions
    And do nothing?

Bear and nourish, then let go.
Work, but stake no claim.
Guide lightly, not controlling:

This is profound Te.
